Graduate Support Program [GSP]
8th Grade Students   |  High School Application Process


Welcome to our Graduate Support Program. Our program offers support to current students and graduates for high school and college admission. Our goal is to insure that every Seattle Nativity School graduate has the opportunity to attend a college preparatory high school  and a college of their choice.

Please refer to our Graduate Support pages for high school open house dates, application dates and fees and timelines. Applying to college preparatory high schools is a very exciting time for your student.

The Application Process
There are four core parts to applying to the Catholic High Schools in the Seattle Area:

1. Confidential School Report/Transcript Request
Students are responsible for completing this form. It includes:
  • basic student/family contact information
  • student selection of the high schools applying to
  • gives Seattle Nativity School permission to send student transcripts to selected schools 
  • due no later than Monday, October 27, 2020 to Seattle Nativity School.

2. Register for the Entrance Exam
As soon as your student has selected high schools to begin the application process, follow these steps:
  • Visit the website of the selected high school(s)
  • Register for the Entrance Exam (most high schools require registration 3 weeks in advance)​

  • November 21, 2020: Kennedy Catholic HS
  • November 22, 2020: Kennedy Catholic HS
  • December 05, 2020: O'Dea HS, Seattle Preparatory School
  • December 06, 2020: Seattle Preparatory School
  • December 12, 2020: Holy Names Academy, O'Dea HS
  • December 13, 20220: Holy Names Academy
  • December 14, 2020: Archbishop Murphy HS
  • December 15, 2020: Archbishop Murphy HS
  • January 11, 2021: Archbishop Murphy HS 

3. Apply for Financial Aid  |  TBA
We will be hosting a Financial Aid Application Night at Seattle Nativity School on, TBA. The following items are required for the application:
  • 2019 W-2 Forms
  • 2019 Federal Tax return
Fulcrum Foundation Tuition Assistance Program:
Applications available online TBA.

4. Submit the High School Application  |  Due January 6th, 2020
All High School Applications are due Wednesday, January 6th, 2020, to the high schools.
The High School Application consists of:
  • Basic student/family contact information
  • Demographics
  • The Student Portion
    This varies a little between schools but generally asks about what the student has been involved in the last 2 years (i.e. athletic teams, community service, leadership opportunities, electives courses, service groups such as scouting), and why the student wants to attend  that specific high school. Nativity will be working with the 8th graders on this portion of the application.
  • The Parent Portion
    This is a brief paragraph about why you, the parent, want your student to attend that specific high school. Nativity will be hosting a High School Application Night on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.
