What is the Nativity Income Criteria to qualify?
We use the guidelines from the USDA for the National Free and Reduced Lunch and the Seattle Housing Authority.

What is Clarity and do I have to pay for it?
Clarity is a free service to families applying to Seattle Nativity School; Nativity provides applicants with a code to access the service . Clarity is a platform for families to submit their financial information and schools use the information for eligibility. The application is simple, mobile-friendly and links directly to the IRS for secure transfer of federal tax information.
Recommendations:
  • Clarity is a two-week processing time and therefore we recommend as your first step.

what if our family cannot afford the $40 application fee?
Parents and Guardians can receive a waiver by submitting a written request to the Principal with an explanation.
Are Teacher Recommendations important?
Yes. A Teacher Recommendation is a requirement of the Application for Admission. Please request a recommendation from your child's 5th-grade teacher as soon as possible.
I have submitted all of the requirements. What is next?
Depending on the results of the Clarity application, teacher recommendation and the number of applicants, qualified students will be invited to attend Summer Academy. Those not invited will be placed on a waiting list.
Does my child need to attend Summer Academy?
Yes, it is required for those invited to Summer Academy attend all 14 days. There are no exceptions.
My child is a sibling of a current or former Nativity student.
​Does my child receive automatic admission?
No. Admission is dependent on the evaluation results after Summer Academy.
I really want my child to attend Seattle Nativity School.
​Should I still enroll my child in another middle school?
If your child currently attends a K-8 school, we recommend keeping their placement for 6th grade. We also suggest enrolling your child in a public school of your choice. The admissions process involves many factors such as the number of applicants and the results of the Summer Academy evaluation. Admission is not guaranteed. Please consider establishing a back-up plan for 6th grade placement.
